Independent Manchester Beer Convention (Indy Man Beer Con/IMBC) is a world class showcase for the best breweries from the UK and beyond. Taking over the stunning surrounds of the Grade II listed, architectural gem Victoria Baths for its 6th year from Thursday 28th September to Sunday 1st October 2017, IMBC brings together the most progressive, forward thinking breweries from across the UK, Europe and USA for a multisensory, headlong, hop- forward beer extravaganza.
A little background: Independent Manchester Beer Convention is brought to you by the team behind Common, Port Street Beer House & The Beagle. IMBC came about through being inspired by the UK’s craft beer movement and frustration that beer festivals in their current form weren’t really representative of this exciting and dynamic part of the industry. We wanted to put on an event that has amazing beer (obviously) but was open-minded, inclusive and modern.

Once again we are hosting Indy Man Beer Con in the glorious surroundings of Victoria Baths. Opened in 1906, this Grade II listed building, features a wondrous assortment of stained glass and glazed tiles, once housed Turkish Baths and Edwardian Swimming Pools.
Victoria Baths is just a short journey from Manchester City Centre and here’s a few ways you can get there.
There is ramped access to the main public entrance of the Baths. Within the building the ground floor is fairly level with ramped access into the sports hall. There are quite a few floors with uneven surfaces.
There are no lifts within the building but all the main spaces can be visited or viewed from the ground floor.
There is adequate parking to the rear. The building now has a fully accessible toilet.
During the event TWO out of the THREE MAIN rooms will be accessible, alongside the turkish baths and the cafe (for the meal)
Some tasting events and talks will unfortunately take place on the first floor, so will not be fully accessible.
The nearest bus route is the number 50 which runs from Manchester City Centre (Princess St) to East Didsbury. Get off at the junction of Upper Brook St, Anson Rd and Hathersage Rd. Walk east along Hathersage Rd to the Baths (1/4 mile).
A taxi from Piccadilly station should take under 10 minutes and costs around £8
There is very limited parking during the event on Hathersage Road. Remember, please don’t drink and drive.
